I'm thinking about...

What is self-confidence?

Self-confidence (or self-esteem) is about how positively you think and feel about yourself.

Your confidence can change depending on where you are and what you are doing. You might feel confident and proud about your ability to sing. But you could feel negatively about how you look, which may make you feel shy, or less confident.

The way you feel may affect how you behave. You might not want to take part in activities if you don’t think you can do them well, or you might feel angry or frustrated about what you can do.

It’s normal to sometimes struggle with your feelings and everyone worries from time to time - whatever their age, race or gender.
